Bazil DeShetler
Barber Operated Own Shop 50 years
Bazil (William) DeShetler, 75, who operated a barber shop in front of his home at 3021 Stickney Ave., was found dead in his bedroom yesterday afternoon.
A physician summoned by the rescue squad attributed death to a heart attack.
His nephew, Ralph Hohn, 3025 Stickney Ave., said he found the door locked about 1 p.m. He called Mr. DeShetler's son, Woodrow, 3860 Detroit Ave., who broke a window to enter the house.
Born in Bono, Mr. DeShetler had been a Toledo resident 37 years and was self employed as a barber 50 years. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul's Church.
Surviving also are sons, Woodrow, Clyde and Robert, all of Toledo, and nine grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in the Abele Mortuary and at 9 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul's Church, Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
