Mrs. Conrad Glaser- Sarah Ann Glaser (nee Bennett) was born March 22 1863, in Sandusky County, OH. In infancy she was consecrated to God through Holy Baptism and on the part of her Christian parents she received instruction in the Word of God. She spent her youthful days in her parents home. On March 13th, 1881, she was united in holy wedlock to Charles Kurtz and to this happy union were born twelve children. On July 27th 1903, the angel of death called Mr. Kurtz to his eternal reward. In 1905 she married to Daniel Leonard and to them was born one child that died in infancy. Mr. Leonard passed to his reward on Nov. 19th, 1908. (This is incorrect Daniel Leonard died 1928) On April 2nd 1930, she married Mr. Henry C. Glaser. She was a very industrious woman and her labors were many and severe but with a determination to succeed she set out to do them and was sucessful in her efforts. She was a kind and loving mother and wife; ready to sacrifice for the well-being and joy and happiness of those she loved. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She answered the summons of the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 30th, at 11:30 a.m. She leaves to mourn her departure, her deeply bereaved husband, Henry Conrad Glaser, and the following children: Mrs. Louis Miller, William Kurtz and Morton Kurtz, of Oak Harbor; Chester Kurtz and Lester Kurtz, of Port Clinton; Mrs. Don Schwarz and Mrs. A. W. Steinmets, of Toledo; Mrs. George Leonard, of Rossburg; one sister, Mrs Mary Place, of Toledo; three brothers, William Bennett of Toledo, Henry Bennett and Alvi Bennett, of Oak Harbor; four sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, six step-children, distant relatives and a host of friends. Her pilgrimage on earth was 72 years, 7 months and 8 days. Services were conducted in St Paul's Evangelical and Reformed church on Saturday, Nov. 2nd, at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. O.C. Doenges, officiating.
