Shorty Chapman

Shirley "Shorty" Chapman, 71 of BBerville, died Wednesday, March 27, 1991 in St. Joseph Hospital, Mount Clemens. He was born Aug. 20, 1919 in Emmett.

Mr. Chapman retired in 1976 after 56 years of service as a tool maker with Bendix. He was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Armada.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; sons, George (Nancy) of Capac and Dale (Mary V,) of Romeo; daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Coleen) Brinker of Snover, Mrs. Thomas (Debra) Peake of Romeo, Mrs. Pat (Diane) Zarate of Lapeer and Sandra Chapman of Berville; brother Curtis Chapman of Yale; sister, Eldora Kirchofer of Centerline; step-sister Virginia Freese of Colfax, California.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation, 5-9 p.m. today and noon-9 p.m. Saturday in Tiffany Young and Hauss Funeral Home, 73919 S. Fulton, Armada; funeral service, 2 p.m. Sunday in Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 22511 W. Main, Armada, with Rev. David Winningham, pastor, officiating; burial, East Berlin Cemetery, Berlin Township; memorials to the parish.
