Joann B. LaDuke, 70, of Monroe, passed away at home, at 4:12 p.m. Sunday January 24, 2010, with her loving family at her side. She had been in poor health for 3 years and seriously ill for 2 months. She was born June 7, 1939 to Charlie Poupard and Ethel (Pernia) Freet. On May 4, 1957, she married Joseph A. LaDuke at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Monroe. A home maker, she enjoyed time with her family, grandchildren, and friends, baking and ceramics, trips to casinos, Las Vagus and playing bingo. Survivors include her loving husband Joe, cherished children, Gary J., Donald E. (Tammy), and Robert W. LaDuke, all of Monroe and Denise of Marian Del Ray, CA, 4 beloved grandchildren, Tiffanie, and Brittanie Laduke, Melissa (Derek) Tegler and Brianna LaDuke, 4 precious great grandchildren. Hailey, Jaden, Mariah, and Zachary and her close bothers Ray Timmons of Beaverton, MI and James (Sharon) Poupard of Monroe. Sadly, her parents, father who raised her, Edgar Freet and 3 brothers Robert, Donald and William Poupard, all preceded her in death. Friends may call thursday, January 28, at Bacarella Funeral Home, from 12-8 p.m. On Friday she will lie in state at St Mary Catholic Church from 9-10 a.m. A Mass of Resurrection wil be held at 10 a.m. to celebrate her life. Fr. Marc A. Gawronski, pastor of the church, will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. LaSalle. Memorial gifts in her name may be given to Heartland Hospice.
