HAZEL BORNAND

Hazel C. Bornand, 87, of the 1200 block died of a heart ailment Monday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Highland Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Mrs. Bornand lived in Des Moines all her life. She was a retired clerk with Iowa Department of Revenue and also had been a cosmetologist. She was a member of Grand View Lutheran Church. American Legion Post 374 Auxilary, Helping Hands Club and Ladies Literary Club. She enjoyed crossward puzzles and bingo.

She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Lynde and Jeanne Bornand and a brother, Lloyd Bowman, all of Des Moines, four grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by her husband Wallace.
