Dies Here at 46

Wallace D. Bornand, 48, od 1218 E. Madison ave, collapsed at 9:10 a.m. Monday while at work at Davidsons store here and was pronounced dead on aarrival at Iowas Methodist Hospital. Death was caused by a coronary occlasion.

Mr. Bornand was born in Pittsburgh, Penn., and had been employed in the receiving and shipping department for 22 years.

A veteran of World War II he was a member of Moose Lodge and the Grand View Lutheran Chuirch.

Surviving are his widow, Hazel, two daughters, Marilyn 12, and Jean Marie, 5, his mother, Mrs. Gertrude Bornand of Detroit, Mich., and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Soto of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Caroline Noe of Des Moines.

Rites Thursday

Services for Wallace D. Bornand, 46, of 1218 E. Madison ave., will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Dahistorm Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Bornand a shipping clerk at Davidson store was taken suddenly ill at work Monday and died of coronary thrombosis at Iowa Methodist Hospital. He had been employed at Davidson 22 years and formally livedat Detroit, Mich., 17 years.
