OBITUARY

William S. Pernia

William Sylvester Pernia, 63 of 60 E. Vine St. died Friday in the Memorial Hospital Unit where he had been for a day. He had been in ill health for seven years and seriously ill for four weeks.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Allore Funeral Home. Monroe Aerie 2254, Fraternal Order of Eagles will hold services at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, to be followed by a prayer service at 8. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Rev. Ted Fujawa officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ida.

The son of William and Cora Leonard Pernia, he was born Aug. 3, 1912, in LaSalle.

Mr. Pernia had been a member of Monroe Aerie 2254, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and a lifelong area resident.

Surviving are three brothers, Raymond of LaSalle, Nicholas of Detroit and Donald of Miamisburg, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Edgar (Ethel) Freet of Monroe and Mrs. Delbert (Gladys) Wood of Erie, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
