Elmer Chapman, grandson of Margaret (McEachin) McNichol says the family is supposed to have settled in the area between Blyth and Seaforth in Huron County Ontario Canada. Record of Margaret's mother Sarah McLeod (McCloud) is also found in this area. Family lore says the father Roderick died on the trip from Scotland and was buried at sea.
