    Frederick Leonard Sr

    April 15, 1913 - Nov. 27, 2003

    TEMPERANCE - Frederick Leonard Sr., 90, of Springfield, Ohio formerly of Temperance and Toledo, died Thursday.

    Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bedford Funeral Chapel, Temperance, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. David Claasen, pastor of Mayfair Plymouth Congregational Church, Toledo, will officaiate. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo.

    Born April 15, 1913 in Toledo, he was the son of Alfred and Chloe (Perry) Leonard. He married Barbara H. Venier in Angola, Ind., Feb. 2, 1935.

    He worked in various staff and management post at Willys Overland, Spicer/Dana Corp., Toledo Pipe Threading, Toledo Bever Tools, and Pinkerton, where he recieved a meritorious award for bravery.

    He was active in several Toledo area churches and was a lay minister in the United Methodist Church.

    He was a member of the High Street Church of the Nazarene in Springfield, Ohio, and the Mayfair Plymouth Congregationals Church, Toledo and Clark Masonic Lodge 101, Springfield. He also was 32nd degree Mason and was in the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Ohio.

    Surviving are his wife; three sons, Frederick Jr. of Bradenton, Fla., Donald (Cathy) of Defiance, Ohio and Norman (Robin) of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; three daughters Virginia (Ronald) Foulk of Eaton, Ohio, Susan (Danny) DeVault of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Cathy (Richard) Wamhoff of Peoria, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by a brother, Emery; a daughter, Yvonne, and a granddaughter; Danielle.

    Memorials may be made to the organization of the donor's choice.
