Grace and Arthur's first child was born 4 Nov 1918. The unnamed male child was born premature and probably buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Monroe MI.
Mrs. Grace Chapman
Mrs. Grace Florence Chapman, 78, of the Lutheran Home for the Aged, died at 1:30 a.m. today in the home. She had been a resident of the home since February and in poor health a year.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday in the Allore Funeral Home, where services will be at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev George Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, LaSalle.
The daughter of Ellsworth and Nina (Robinson) White, she was born July 31, 1897, in Arkona, Ontario, Canada. She married Arthur Chapman on May 2, 1917. He died on May 22, 1975.
Mrs. Chapman spent most of her life in the Monroe area and was a member of Melita Rebekah Lodge 55, Monroe.
Surviving are 3 sons, Arthur of Monroe, Alyce of Maine and Herbert of Adrian; 2 daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Dorothy) Pernia of LaSalle and Mrs. Frank (Shirley) Wylie of Monroe; 3 brothers, Ernest of Adrian, Walter of Ohio and Robert of Florida; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
